Built for live performance and hands-free use, Quantiloop offers the simplicity of a hardware loop pedal in an iOS app. It allows you to attach a MIDI foot controller and customize its control to your liking. Even without a MIDI controller, you can easily preset your loop length, enable auto-record or a count-in, and the loops will automatically close without the need for hands or feet. The on-screen controls are large and intuitively designed, making it easy for vocalists or beatboxers to configure and control their loops without distractions.

Quantiloop encourages creativity by providing the ability to create four tracks with endless layers of overdubs. This allows you to build dynamic performances by recording different sections of a song (such as a chorus, verse, and bridge) and seamlessly switching between them. You can also create complex arrangements by layering percussive loops, chord progressions, and basslines in perfect synchronization.

The app also includes a built-in rhythm guide that offers a rhythmic backing for your performances. You can use the internal metronome for practice, import drum loops from various sources, or connect your favorite rhythm apps to enhance your performance. With MIDI master and slave functionality, you can control external MIDI hardware or sync Quantiloop with other devices. Ableton Link allows you to play in time over WiFi with external apps and devices. The quantization feature ensures that your actions align with the nearest measure or beat, keeping your recordings tight and in sync. Additionally, real-time tempo control gives you the freedom to set your own pace or disable quantization for a more spontaneous recording experience.

Quantiloop offers versatile effects capabilities. You can assign up to three simultaneous effects to the input, allowing you to transform your guitar into a bass or incorporate guitar amp simulations directly in Quantiloop. These effects will be recorded into your loops. Alternatively, you can assign up to three simultaneous track effects to the output, giving you the ability to add dramatic elements like tape stops or introduce key changes to build up your performances. The track effects can be assigned to individual tracks, all tracks, or the combined output.
